Bright Future Sires First Foal at Claiborne Farm

The primary reported foal by Claiborne Farm’s grade 1 winner Vibrant Future   was born Feb. 17 on the Paris, Ky., farm.

Bred by proprietor/breeder Deborah Hancock, the flashy chestnut colt is out of Story of the Cat winner Miss Tattle Story, whose first 4 foals are all winners. Miss Tattle Story is a half sister to stakes winner and graded stakes producer Speedy Racer (Forest Wildcat). Her quick household additionally produced grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner Runway Mannequin , who’s the dam of a number of grade 1 winner and sire McKinzie  .

Vibrant Future is a 7-year-old son of Curlin   who bought for $350,000 on the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling Sale to West Bloodstock, as agent for Repole Stables and St Elias Steady. He received at first asking in 2022 at 3 with coach Todd Pletcher and went on to win the Jockey Membership Gold Cup Stakes (G1) at 4 and Salvator Mile Stakes (G3) at 5. Out of the graded-placed stakes winner Sophia’s Track (Bellamy Street), Vibrant Future is a half brother to a number of graded stakes winner Sales space  (Mitole  ) and grade 1-placed, grade 2 winner Musical Mischief  (Into Mischief  ). His quick household produced Housebuster, who was the US champion sprinter for 1990-91.
