HISA and CDI: Crisis Averted, But Issues Remain

A pending lawsuit between Churchill Downs, Inc. and the Horseracing Integrity and Security Authority has reached a partial settlement March 24, however points stay about charges assessed by HISA to tracks owned by CDI.

A current HISA administrative ruling demanding CDI make partial fee of charges assessed in 2025 or face a shutdown of its tracks prompted CDI to request a keep of the ruling and to contact the court docket about presumably submitting a brief restraining order.
