The stakes standing of the Troy Stakes (G3) and the Galway Stakes, each off-the-turf editions run Aug. 10 at Saratoga Race Course, will stay downgraded as a consequence of being moved to the principle monitor, in line with the American Graded Stakes Committee.
Any turf stakes is routinely downgraded by one stage when it’s moved off the grass. The race is then reviewed by the AGSC to see if it warrants having its authentic stakes standing restored.
